When Hull Flooring hit a ceiling and needed to rediscover their purpose, Sprout helped them find clarity, confidence, and a whole new way of showing up. The result: a brand strategy built on pride, purpose, and the spaces that matter.
The Challenge
Hull Flooring had built a strong reputation for quality and reliability, but their story wasn’t being told. In an industry dominated by uninspired, product-led marketing, they struggled to communicate the care and craft behind their work. The digital world felt unfamiliar, and the business was at risk of plateauing.
They wanted a clear brand, consistent messaging, and a renewed sense of pride — a framework that could guide them forward and help their audience truly understand who they are.
Our Role
Referred by a trusted friend to the MD, Sprout came on board as a strategic partner — working externally but acting as an extension of the team. Through two discovery sessions and a series of open, honest conversations, we got under the surface of who Hull Flooring really are.
We listened. We mined the gold. We paid attention to how they spoke about their projects — the pride, the precision, the responsibility they feel to make every project seamless for their clients. The insight was clear: they don’t just lay floors. They make spaces work.

From that truth came the foundation of a new brand strategy — one that didn’t need a logo change, just a sharper lens.
We developed a full strategic framework and messaging system that redefined Hull Flooring around four key pillars:

Community – We give back through every project — working on an initiative to give back in partnership with a charity supporting mental health.

Together, this became The Hull Flooring Way — a framework that connects purpose with practice.
Visually, we refined their colour palette, created a flexible pattern system, and introduced a softer, more confident style. We built a new website that reflects who they are — calm, grounded, and human.
And, most importantly, we reframed their story from flooring as a product to spaces as a purpose.
For Spaces That Matter became the rallying cry.
The Impact
The impact was instant. The Hull Flooring team rediscovered pride in what they do and excitement for what’s ahead. They now have a clear narrative and a confident digital presence that aligns with their values.
Their new website launched in October 2025 to positive feedback from clients and peers alike, and they’ve begun investing in ongoing brand guidance to build on the momentum.
